Assembly procedure

1. First, open the cardboard and check that the contents (parts) are properly contained.

Make sure that the stool has the seating part, the leg part, and the screws (screws, washers, bolts & nuts, etc.) that are important for assembling those parts!

The instructions were included properly, and a simple wrench for tightening screws and bolts was also included. And since this stool is a type that can be turned by hand to adjust the height, it also contains parts for manual lifting.

Let's proceed while looking at this manual.

2. Assemble the legs and the parts to be raised and lowered.

Since the parts are round and the sides are slanted, it may be a little difficult because it is difficult to stabilize when inserting the screws.

After inserting the screws, tighten them using the included hex wrench. At this time, it may tilt, but for the time being, it is temporarily tightened, so I think it's okay if you insert it straight somehow.

Temporarily tighten the screws diagonally to the four legs and the elevating parts (inside) in the same way, and then fully tighten them after assembly.

3. Assemble the footrest parts (circular).

Turn the one you assembled earlier upside down, and then assemble the footrest (the part where you hang your feet).

Temporarily tighten diagonally with a hexagon wrench and then fully tighten.

4. Attach the lifting parts to the back of the stool and to the body.

Align these parts.

There are 5 screw holes, so place them so that they fit there.

Insert screws into the 5 holes and temporarily tighten to final tighten while checking the balance.

Now the parts on the stool side can be installed!

Next, attach the lifting parts to the main body on the leg side.

Insert the screws into the four holes, and temporarily tighten to final tighten. At this time as well, it is a good idea to tighten while checking the balance between the holes and the screws.

5. Combine the lifting parts on the back of the stool before mounting.

According to the instructions, it is assembled in the order of 7 → 8, but I first installed the tip of the lifting parts and then inserted it into the back of the stool using a rubber hammer.

There is no problem in assembling in the order that is easy for the assembler to do.

6. Insert the stool (sitting side) into the body on the leg side.

This is simply inserted from above, but it will be inserted with considerable force.

After inserting it, keep turning it to the lowest position for the time being.

Now it's down to the lowest position.

7. Completion

This completes the assembly of the IKEA counter stool! By the way, I bought two at my house.
